Vint Hill Special: Chris Keller, Mike Simms, Michael Simms, Perry Grub and Will Keller.


Vint Hill Special is reuniting for a one-time concert! The group has not performed together for four years, but will reunite on Saturday, June 22 at 7 p.m. at Greenwich Presbyterian Church in Nokesville to benefit Farthest Corners, a Nokesville-based mission group that provides humanitarian, educational and spiritual support to people in Burma and in villages along the Thailand/Burma border.

The Vint Hill Special group is comprised of Mike Simms of Nokesville, Perry Grubb of Nokesville, Will Keller of Midland, Chris Keller of Roanoke and Michael Simms of Austin, Texas. Well known throughout the local area as The Nokesville Troubador, Mike Simms plays and sings his “Story Songs” at many venues in the area including Northside 29 Restaurant in New Baltimore, Effingham Manor in Nokesville, Swirlies in Manassas and Guiseppie’s in Haymarket. His tip bucket has helped to support flood victims in the south, local groups in need, as well as Farthest Corners. Perry Grubb is a versatile musician and singer who has performed at many locations in the area. His instrumental prowess is demonstrated on the acoustic and electric guitar, dobro, pedal steel and bass. String bass player William Keller majored in music and previously taught music at Fresta Valley Christian School in Fauquier County. Chris Keller who plays guitar, mandolin and fiddle plays in the Praise Band in his local church in Roanoke and is active in music research programs at Virginia Tech. Michael Simms is a former teacher at Patriot High School who migrated to Austin four years ago to become a part of the music scene there and is an active part of several bands that play throughout the Austin area.

The concert will be held at the Greenwich Presbyterian Church 15400 Greenwich Church Way, Nokeville, Va.

This is a free concert.  An offering will be taken to support the ministry of Farthest Corners in southeast Asia.
