When Farthest Corners embarks on a special mission project they know who to call for help! In 2016, when a significant amount of money in addition to budgeted amounts was needed, Friends of Farthest Corners presented a special variety show to help raise funds to replace the roof on several buildings at Happy Home, an orphanage/school in Burma established by FC in 2007. Proceeds from the event also purchased a farm tractor, expanded an existing rice field and repaired a ditch for irrigation to the field.

On September 22nd, Friends will be raising funds for existing ministries and concert-goers will also be given an opportunity to donate or make a pledge to the Kalay International Education Center (KIEC) a teaching facility and ministry base in Kalaymyo,Burma. Along with Happy Home and the border ministries in Thailand, KIEC will expand the ministry of Farthest Corners, giving us an extraordinary opportunity to reach out to a population in great need of the message of God’s redeeming love through Jesus Christ.

The September 22 concert will showcase the talent of many local entertainers who perform at churches, schools and in area theater productions. The variety of music chosen by performers in 2016 covered the spectrum from an electrifying piano duet of Star Wars selections- who can forget Darth Quinones and Princess Beran performing the March and Theme from the blockbuster movie – to Ken Foster’s moving rendition of The Lord’s Prayer.

The September program will be listed on this site very soon. Many of the performers from 2016 are returning; some new acts have also signed on. Why not make plans now to be a part of this important event!
