Farthest Corners will hold the 13th Annual Benefit For Burma Dinner and Auction on April 13 at The Inn at Vint Hill.

The Silent Auction will begin at 4:30 PM, housed in rooms throughout the first floor of the Inn. Items for bid will include some exciting day and week-long trips! Tickets to entertainment activities, home accessories, collectibles and other treasures are available in the Silent Auction.

A new addition to our auction this year will be a brief Live Auction in the main tent.  The live auction will include a few desirable vacation trips, i.e. a week in a lovely 2-bedroom condo in Aruba or a week in sunny Key West, Florida. All auction items have been donated by local and distant businesses and individuals.

A buffet dinner prepared by the staff at The Inn at Vint Hill will be served at 6:45 in a spacious, heated, outdoor tent. Dinner will be followed by a program that includes a report about a December 2018 trip to Burma from Lisa House, mother of Farthest Corners missionary Austin House.

Donations are being accepted from groups and individuals. Small antiques, art, entertainment event tickets, children’s games and toys, electronics, gift cards to restaurants, woodcrafts and pottery are just some of the items being sought for the auction. Donor forms can be found on the Farthest Corners website, www.farthestcorners.org. Please print and complete a form for each donation and send with donation to Farthest Corners, 13513 Ryton Ridge Lane, Gainesville, VA 20155. Questions concerning donations can be directed to Becky Whitelock, Event Chair, orwhitelok@aol.com or call 540-270-9668.. Deadline for donations will be March 31.

The change in name for our event, formerly the Thai Dinner,  reflects a change of physical location for our ministry. In addition to ministries at Happy Home, Yangon and villages along the Burma/Thailand border, we are building KIEC, a school/mission in Kalaymyo where Farthest Corners missionaries Austin and Sinte House and family will soon live and work.

Tickets for the event are $50 and can be purchased from Farthest Corners members. You may also call Maria Duffus, 703-754-7933 (9 AM – 4 PM.) or send a message to mduffus@greenwichpres.org.
