The weather forecast for Sunday afternoon predicts a heat index of 105 degrees. This is of deep concern to the planners of the BBQ and the Mefferts who so graciously offered to host us at their home in Haymarket. With great consideration for the health and welfare of those who have made reservations to attend the Welcome Home BBQ for the House family, Farthest Corners Field Coordinators – and missionaries , we decided today to seek an indoor, air-conditioned facility for the event. Don and Helen Taylor graciously offered the use of Windy Knoll, their farm located at 11602 Kettle Run Road in Nokesville. From 4:30- 8:00 p.m. everything will go on as planned – just at Windy Knoll instead of in Haymarket! While there is no fishing pond, there are animals and many interesting things to see at the farm. Some exciting entertainment is also being planned. Of most importance, Austin and Sinte will share experiences and future plans with us and will be available to answer many of your questions about their work.
If you have any questions about this news don’t hesitate to call me.
We look forward to a very special afternoon and evening with you.
